Chris Snowdon, Head of Lifestyle Economics at the IEA, is quoted in the Daily Mail, responding to news that TfL’s ban on so-called junk food advertising has cost thousands of pounds, as all food ads are impacted.
Adverts falling foul of the ban include an advert for Wimbledon’s famous strawberries and cream, and TfL’s own advert featuring an iced cake.
Chris Snowdon said “TfL has had to spend thousands of pounds airbrushing perfectly harmless images to comply with its own puritanical rules.”
