IEA Chief Operating Officer and Energy Analyst Andy Mayer has written for the Daily Express on today’s speech on energy by Boris Johnson.

Andy’s article highlights the disconnect between the Prime Minister’s rhetoric and policies, before outlining the folly of relying on EDF’s failing nuclear technology.

Andy’s article concludes by noting the core issue with the Government’s energy policies: the knowledge problem. He commented “Mr Johnson’s main error is a belief politicians can choose the future. A long-term plan for a fixed number of installations is out of date the minute it is printed.”
