The IEA’s Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon has written for Spectator Health, in light of the Lancet Commission on Obesity calling for food companies to be regulated like the tobacco industry.
“Two reports in as many weeks from the Lancet, the first instructing people to adopt a peasant diet, the second instructing super-national organisations to bring it about by force. It is difficult to imagine a more blatantly elitist and undemocratic project, but there it is in black and white.”
