Responding to data from the Office of National Statistics examining how people spent their time after the lockdown, IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon told The Telegraph that we cannot be altogether surprised more TV was watched and more gardens tended to.
He emphasised that the lockdown had been very different for those able to work from home, who may have benefitted from scrapping the commute and spending more time with the family.
For those who worked throughout the restrictions, however, lockdown was wholly different.
