Syed Kamall writes for the Daily Telegraph
Global free trade “is the foundation of modern economies and modern prosperity” but it has been severely effected by the coronavirus pandemic says Syed Kamall, IEA Academic and Research Director.
Writing for the Daily Telegraph following the publication of his report ‘Freight Expectations’ which outlines barriers to global free trade post-covid, Syed notes that there are causes for optimism because while trade in goods fell in 2019, trade in services increased in 2019.
Syed warned: “The world needs to embrace free trade, although several factors may inhibit its potential rebound once the crisis passes“.
