A second lockdown is a risky strategy

When it comes to a potential second lockdown, “everyone suffering in pursuit of impossible promises is pointless” says Christopher Snowdon, IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics.

Writing for The Critic, Christopher argues we are not in the same situation as March- despite claims to the contrary – and that “it is very unlikely that a second wave will break NHS capacity” but “going in and out of lockdown while we wait for a vaccine is not a viable strategy.”
