“A perfect storm is gathering pace around the NHS: demand has skyrocketed, and a shriveled tax base threatens its funding” says Annabel Denham, Director of Communications at the Institute of Economic Affairs.

Writing for the Sunday Express, Annabel says it is absurd that “in our increasingly polarised nation the glue that binds us together is the collective denial that our crumbling, beleaguered healthcare system is somehow the “envy of the world”” and that statistics make clear the NHS outcomes are poorer than many other health systems across the world.
