IEA Editorial and Research Fellow and labour market analyst, Professor Len Shackleton, was quoted in national press coverage on claims that energy costs could be reduced by travelling into the office.

Quoted in the Daily Star, Len commented that the cost of heating during the day “tips the calculation” against working from home for groups including flat sharers and young people, in addition to those who live close to the office.
