IEA Chief Operating Officer and Energy Analyst Andy Mayer has appeared on talkTV criticising the imposition of fines on oil and gas companies for producing too much oil.
Andy said:
“they are just implementing what virtue signalling ministers over the years have decided they should do.
“The government would very much like us to believe that they can do a thirty-year plan to transition from where are now, (…) The trouble is, we know they can’t – they are hopeless at planning almost anything”
