June 21 ‘Freedom Day’ could be delayed by more than four weeks

As the UK government looks set to delay the lockdown road map, extending lockdown restrictions for at least four weeks, IEA Economics Fellow Julian Jessop was quoted in the Daily Mail, arguing any extension would be disastrous for businesses across the country.

Julian said: “Even a delay of just a few weeks could be the final straw for many businesses, especially pubs, that have only just survived. They may not come back at all.”
