Christopher Snowdon quoted in The Telegraph
Responding to reports that hospital admissions for Covid-19 were over-reported at the peak of the pandemic, the IEA’s Head of Lifestyle Economics said it was “no surprise”.
Quoted in the Daily Telegraph, Chris noted that “People often overestimate highly publicised risks while underestimating more common risks. No health risk has had more publicity in recent years than Covid-19.
Snowdon added: “Covid-19 is undoubtedly a nasty disease, and we need to be careful, but it is far less lethal than many people assume and the average age of those who die is 84. There needs to be some perspective.”
