Union demands for a pre-Christmas pay-rise for all NHS workers, including non-frontline staff, are “cynical”, as well as “economically impossible” in the current climate, the IEA’s Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon told the Mail Online.
Chris added that although at certain points “this has been the busiest time ever for the NHS”, for large parts of the year it has also ‘been the quietest, even for nurses’.
