Reacting to Oxfam’s report on wealth inequality, Professor Len shackleton, Editorial and Research Fellow at the IEA said “It is sad to see an organisation that has done much good in the past now anathematising the market economy, which has lifted countless millions out of poverty”.
Rather than advocating for “vague” polices, Len argues Oxfam would be “better concentrating on raising charitable donations” and should stop “engaging in the kind of anti-capitalist rhetoric more suited to a student union debate than solving world poverty”.
