Julian Jessop, Economics fellow at the IEA, has commented on the future of US-UK trade relations following Brexit:
“The US appears to be in no hurry to do a major trade deal with the UK. However, it should still be possible to do a series of mini-deals in less sensitive sectors.”
This is of particular relevance now, given Ursula Von Der Leyden’s Twitter announcement that President Joe Biden concurs with the EU’s stance that the UK should comply with the Northern Ireland Protocol.
