IEA Economics Fellow Julian Jessop’s comments on UK taxes and possible falls in inflation and interest rates, have been quoted in The Sunday Times.

Julian said:

“That could still be the saving grace — that the economy does better than expected, partly because inflation falls.

“That’s a double benefit because a stronger economy means higher tax revenues but it also eases some of the cost pressures on the NHS if prices don’t rise as much as some people fear.”
