You’ll gain hands-on experience across communications disciplines including in one of the think-tank sector’s only professional studios. You will support on content production, digital marketing, media engagement, press releases, and social media management.
We welcome motivated team players eager to learn. While experience is not required, candidates should have an interest in think tank communications, familiarity with social media platforms, and willingness to handle diverse digital and communications tasks. The key focus is on motivation and eagerness to learn rather than prior experience.
The internship is a temporary, unpaid, and voluntary position with commuting expenses covered, which is based in our Communications Team. As a Media Intern, you will have the opportunity to support all aspects of the IEA’s media strategy and digital presence, from idea generation all the way through to publication.

The goal of the internship is for you to develop your digital and communications skillset and further the IEA’s mission on digital platforms and with traditional media. The internship lasts three months. However, depending on your performance, you will have the possibility of extending your time at the IEA. The internship will be fully on-site at our office in Westminster, London.
If you wish to apply for the IEA Media Internship programme (start ASAP, ideally 3 months but can be shorter or longer depending on applicant and situation), interviews are held on a rolling basis. Note that there is only one position at a time.
