Milena is the Programmes and Research Officer for the IEA–Vinson Centre partnership at the University of Buckingham. She first joined the IEA through the Vinson internship at the University of Buckingham in the summer of 2024.

Milena holds an MSc in Money, Banking and Central Banking from the University of Buckingham, an MA in Economics from the University of Oslo, and a BA in PPE from the University of Buckingham. She is passionate about unpacking the link between monetary and fiscal policy, particularly how their coordination shapes inflation.

Outside economics, Milena’s interest in moral and political thought led her to dive into the classical liberal tradition via Locke’s challenge to Hobbes. She’s particularly interested in the themes of individual agency, responsibility and accountability, and in how political philosophy offers insights to guard against a drift toward authoritarianism.
