What about businesses, unemployment and livelihoods?

IEA Director of Communications Annabel Denham has penned an op-ed for The Telegraph, saying the governments decision to delay ‘freedom day’ will be a disaster for publicans, small business owners and their employees.

Annabel argued: “our freedoms cannot be trampled for long, nor can the risk of new strains be used as an excuse for the permanent expansion of the state. Our prosperity hinges on Boris reigniting his libertarian instincts and the Conservatives rediscovering their zeal for economic prosperity. The alternative is that we drive round this cul-de-sac in perpetuity, and no map can chart us a course out”.
