IEA Director General Mark Littlewood was quoted in the Daily Mail giving his thoughts on the Spring Statement. Despite raising the National Insurance Contributions threshold and promising to cut Income Tax in 2024, the tax burden remains a great strain on households across the country.

Mark warned: “The proportion of national income taken by tax is now at the highest level since Clement Attlee. We’re at the point where we have hit our taxable limits.”
