During the Spring Statement, the Chancellor revealed that the cost of servicing Britain’s huge national debt will cost an eye-watering £83 billion in 2022/23.

IEA Director General Mark Littlewood was quoted in the Daily Mail, saying: “This is not paying back the debt, this is just servicing the debt. We can’t go on like this forever. We have been living beyond our means.“
