Julian was quoted in The Sun newspaper following the announcement of a second nationwide lockdown saying that the new measures “would be a double-hit from which it would be much harder to recover.”

He added that “The longer the economy is kept shuttered, the greater the risk that the damage will be long-lasting” says Julian Jessop, IEA Economics Fellow.
