Matthew Lesh, IEA Head of Public Policy, has commented in The Express on the benefits that privatisation would bring to the DVLA and Passport Office. Matthew’s comments come in the wake of complaints about long processing times and the behaviour of their employees.

“I think what we’ve seen from the Passport Office and the DVLA over the last couple of years is quite frankly a lot of slacking off”

“you could bring in competition, you could have multiple providers of passports and licences – that means that customers have a choice of where they are getting it from.”
