The NHS track and trace app has caused business ‘havoc’ by ‘pinging’ over half a million workers in Britain, forcing a sizable chunk of the workforce to isolate, putting businesses at risk.

Commenting on the news in City AM, IEA Economics Fellow, Julian Jessop, said: “The loss of both staff and customers will be very disruptive for some businesses and might delay the return of overall GDP to pre-pandemic levels by a few months”
