IEA Editorial and Research Fellow Dr. Len Shackleton has been quoted in the Daily Telegraph commenting on news that pay across the private sector grew by six per cent in the second quarter compared with a two per cent rise in public sector pay.
Warning of more industrial action in light of the news, Len was quoted “This is bound to feed into the pay claims of public sector unions, whose strike threats — muted at the moment because of the period of Royal mourning — will no doubt return with renewed vigour shortly.
