In his bi-weekly column for The Times, IEA Director General Mark Littlewood has argued that lockdown has accelerated changes to our viewing habits, with Netflix and streaming services increasing their viewership at the expense of the BBC.

Mark said: “Dramatic shifts in our viewing behaviour were well under way before any of us had heard of Covid-19. A year of lockdown has forced the accelerator pedal to the floor. This means that a more radical shift in how the BBC operates is now only a few years away“.
