Bolstering HR will not rid politics of ‘bad apples’

Annabel Denham, IEA Director of Communications, has written for The Telegraph on calls to introduce mandatory HR training for MPs following Neil Parish’s resignation for watching pornography in Parliament.

“Decades ago, when HR was referred to as “personnel management,” the role these workers held in an organisation was solely administrative. They ensured staff were paid on time, placed job adverts and managed leave requests. Now, they preside over and enforce a range of additional duties, such as enshrining workplace identity politics, unconscious bias training, and forced quotas”
