Hayek: A Commemorative Album illustrates the life and work of F A Hayek, Nobel Laureate in Economics and the twentieth century’s leading thinker on liberalism.
In this book, John Raybould brings together a unique collection of photographs and documents (many of them never before published) from various sources including the Hayek family archives.
Here are the family’s own snapshots of Hayek as a schoolchild, at the University of Vienna and in his battledress during the First World War; here too are rare photographs of him teaching at the London School of Economics in the 1930’s, his hand-written text of The Road to Serfdom , his scribbled notes from the inaugural meeting of the Mont Pelerin Society in 1947; and here are some of the many tributes from around the world that crowned the career of a remarkable man.
