IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon has been quoted in Guido Fawkes responding to new research claiming that alcohol costs England £27 billion per year.

Christopher said:

Thanks to the UK’s high alcohol taxes, there is little doubt that drinkers continue to subsidise non-drinkers to the tune of billions of pounds.”
