IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon has been quoted in The Sunday Post urging policymakers to rethink minimum alcohol unit pricing in Scotland.

Christopher said:

“The Scottish government’s attachment to this failed policy borders on the pathetic. With alcohol-specific deaths at a 14-year high, it ignores all the evidence that minimum pricing has been a failure. This policy has cost Scottish drinkers millions of pounds so far and will cost them even more if the floor price is raised.”
