IEA Economics Fellow Julian Jessop featured in The Telegraph’s ‘Choppers Political Podcast’ to discuss the Spring budget and the Office for Budget Responsibility’s (OBR) recent economic forecast. In the podcast, Jessop argued the OBR  forecasts are “too pessimistic” and that “the economy will rebound much more quickly than they anticipate now once the brakes are taken off”.

Jessop believes the tax increases  announced at the Budget will be “more than enough to fill any black hole in the public finances. And it won’t be too long again before you start talking about tax cuts”.
