IEA Director General Mark Littlewood was quoted in The Daily Express arguing that the controversy over Gary Lineker’s criticism of government rhetoric on immigration calls the BBC licence fee’s future into question.

Mark said:

“The Lineker debacle has fundamentally changed the terms of the debate on the BBC.

“The public should have the choice of whether they want to pay to watch someone who disparages their political beliefs and preferred political party.”
