Despite Prince William’s plea, innovation in space travel should not be disregarded

Mark Littlewood, Director General of the IEA, has written for The Times reacting to Prince William’s comments that billionaires such as Jeff Bezos should focus their attention on climate change, as opposed to space travel. Mark observes that space travel, while currently a niche, has vast environmental and financial potential.

“Some believe that the space travel business will be worth about $20 billion a year by the end of the decade, about 18 times the revenue of Disneyland Paris. By then, the entire space industry could be worth a yearly $800 billion”.
