Matthew Lesh appears on talkTV

IEA Head of Public Policy Matthew Lesh has appeared on talkTV to discuss the pay demands of striking ambulance workers.

Discussing the workers’ demand of an inflation + five per cent pay increase, Matthew said:

“[a 7.5 per cent pay increase] has just been rejected by the Scottish nurses, which says that it’s much harder to reach a negotiated position than we might have hoped.

“it is just not affordable to make those kinds of commitments”
