The Alcohol Health Alliance has called on the government to include alcoholic drinks in its plan to ban junk food adverts after 9PM.

IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon was quoted in The Spirits Business expressing his annoyance at nanny statists wishing to ban the marketing of products they personally dislike.

Christopher said: “Boris Johnson’s food advertising ban will not work and nor would further restrictions on alcohol advertising. Nanny statists need to grow up and stop trying to ban the marketing of anything they don’t like”.
