Competition policy and regulation is woefully behind in adapting to the innovative leaps and bounds made by internet-enabled sharing businesses, effectively protecting market incumbents from healthy competition. This lecture will explore how regulators and competition authorities can keep pace with disruptive business models, such as Airbnb, Uber and P2P lending, and what this could mean for the status quo.
