The IEA US Presidential Debate
Time:
- The IEA US Presidential Debate
06/09/2016
18:30 - 20:30
In less than three months, America will cast its vote for the next President. The United States currently faces a number of challenges: its economy is losing pace; racial and inequality tensions are dividing the fabric of the American public; immigration reform is long overdue; and regulations coming out of Washington are at an all-time high, burdening business and stifling job creation. And these are just the domestic concerns!
Our debate on 6 September will be an opportunity to go beyond the headlines and deeply consider the merits and policy positions of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. You’ll also hear from leading journalists on the trends and key issues of the right and the left in America.
Our debaters include:
- Bill Barnard, Democrats Abroad
- Alex Sundstrom, Republicans Overseas UK
- Sohrab Ahmari, Wall Street Journal
- Justin Webb, BBC Radio 4
