At this time of economic recession and increasing awareness of gross economic inequalities, many have grown sceptical of business practices and the massive disparity in economic reward both in this country but more acutely in the developing world. These talks and the debate, chaired by Rev. William Morris, will discuss ethical values within the business world and reflect on how much the process of renewal has to begin with a recognition of the moral dimension of business practice. Philip Booth, from the Institute of Economic Affairs, will focus on the relationship between trade and progrss. Barbara Crowther, from the Fairtrade Foundation, will focus on Fairtrade.
