In Conversation with Arlene Foster

On Wednesday 7th April, from 13:00 – 14:00 BST, the Institute of Economic Affairs is delighted to host a discussion with the First Minister of Northern Ireland, The Rt Hon Arlene Foster MLA, for the latest episode of our In Conversation series with senior figures across public life. The IEA Director General, Mark Littlewood, will chair the discussion.

Arlene Foster has been the First Minister of Northern Ireland since January 2020, and previously from 2016 to 2017, and has served as Leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) since 2015. She is the first woman and the youngest person to hold both jobs. Arlene also previously served in Northern Ireland Executive as Minister of the Environment, Minister for Enterprise and Investment, and Minister for Finance and Personnel. She has been a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Fermanagh and South Tyrone since 2003.
