We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
2015 will mark 50 years since the publication of E. G. West’s “Education and the State” (with foreword by Arthur Seldon). When it was published in 1965 it was immediately hailed as one of the century’s most important works on education and it has been described as “the single most outstanding intellectual challenge to public education.”

James Tooley (Professor of Education Policy and Director of the E.G. West Centre at Newcastle University) will discuss the book, its impact since publication, and his own volume on West. Copies of the newly published paperback of his book will be available at the event.
