In an article for Reason, Dr Steve Davies Head of Education at the Institute of Economic Affairs, reacts to news in the US that police forces are threatening to go on strike over calls to defund the police by activists.

Davies said: “Some police officers [in the United States] are talking of resorting to strike action in response to the defunding proposals. The record suggests this could help people realize how little they’re actually needed”
