Tautvydas Galminas is the Operations Manager at the Institute of Economic Affairs, having joined as Head Intern in Autumn 2023. He is responsible for the full breadth of the organisation’s operational functions, spanning human resources and IT infrastructure, financial management, regulatory compliance, and the planning and delivery of the IEA’s events programme. In this role, he works to ensure that the Institute has the systems, processes, and people in place to pursue its mission effectively.

A committed classical liberal, Tautvydas traces his convictions to Mill, Hayek, and Friedman, thinkers whose ideas felt less like theory than lived observation, rooted as they are in a Lithuanian background that made the divergence between free and unfree societies plainly visible.

Tautvydas holds an MSc in Economic and Social History from St Peter’s College, Oxford, and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Queen’s University Belfast.
