The IEA was honoured to welcome Cato Institute Senior Fellow and well-known American libertarian scholar Dan Mitchell to London to speak at our State of the Economy Conference. Dan is best known as a proponent of the flat tax, and is a regularly commentator on tax and fiscal issues in the US print and broadcast media.

Following his speech on the long-term fiscal outlook for the United States, Dan was interviewed by IEA Editorial and Programme Director Philip Booth for ieaTV. In the video he discusses the political situation in Washington, the reforms that need to be made and the likelihood of this coming about.
