Nanny State Index '23 referenced in The i

EPICENTER’s Nanny State Index, authored by IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon has been referenced in The i after the government pledged a new crackdown on vaping.

The article said:

“A report by the Institute for Economic Affairs found the UK and Ireland have the joint most liberal laws on e-cigarettes and only a few restrictions on advertising and no specific vape taxes. It also ranked the UK as the ‘worst place in Europe to be a smoker’ over its strict smoking bans, mandatory plain cigarette packaging and bans on displaying them in shops.”
