IEA research has been quoted by The Telegraph in their article covering the huge tax bill the government is expected to earn from the inheritance of baby boomers.

The Telegraph wrote:

“The baby boomer generation will pay as much as £90bn over the next decade in the Tories’ inheritance tax heist, calculations for the Telegraph suggested. Thousands of families are hit each year by the divisive death duty, which is levied at a rate of 40pc on estates above a certain size.

“Meanwhile, economists at the Institute of Economic Affairs, a think tank, believe it could hit 60,000 families by 2033.”
