Annabel Denham appears on Politics Live

IEA Director of Communications Annabel Denham has appeared on BBC 2’s Politics Live and discussed new IEA research urging policymakers to ease the burdensome process of approving cultivated meat products.

Annabel said:

“We’re lagging behind the US, Singapore, and Israel at the moment

“In the UK, it takes about 35 months for approval and to go through the regulatory process … [which] creates quite a lot of uncertainty, which disincentivises investment and slows the development of these products.”
