Time to slaughter the “hard work” sacred cow


Mark Littlewood writes for The Times

In his column for The Times, IEA Director General Mark Littlewood makes the case for abandoning the fixation with “hard work” and instead focusing on inspiration, innovation and insight.

He writes:

“Once a country has the basic elements required of a market economy — property rights, freedom of exchange and the rule of law — invention and imagination are what generate prosperity, far more than a determinedly diligent workforce.”
