Responding to news in the Daily Mail that Covid passports could be used to keep pubs and restaurants open this winter, IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon argued that low levels of hospitalisation meant the lifting of restrictions should have gone ahead on June 21 as originally planned.

Christopher said: “The jury is in, the vaccines work and we should have fully reopened today“.
