IEA Chief Operating Officer and Energy Analyst Andy Mayer has been quoted in City AM calling on the government to explore on alternatives to large-scale nuclear power plants like Sizewell C.

Andy said:

“There are small modular reactor alternatives, which if proven and cost effective, and with the right reforms to planning and permitting, could be built much more quickly coming on stream before Sizewell C.”
