Christopher Snowdon appears on talkTV
Christopher was pessimistic when asked about tax cuts, saying:
“the idea that Jeremy Hunt and Rishi Sunak are tightening the purse strings and getting the public finances in order is a complete myth
“If you want tax cuts, you have to say what public spending cuts you want. I have some ideas on that, but I don’t have £177 billion worth of ideas,
“You’re better off focusing on getting GDP up rather than getting taxes down, in real terms we’re not going to get taxes down, but we can do so much with GDP, so much with economic growth – it just requires sensible deregulation.”
