IEA Editorial and Research Fellow Professor Len Shackleton has been quoted in City AM discussing news that the Chancellor may scrap the EU-imposed cap on bankers’ bonuses.

Emphasising the importance of The City to the UK’s economic competitiveness, Len was quoted “A continuing cap on bonuses will over time add to the difficulties of international recruitment and undermine the competitiveness of the UK’s financial sector, one of our few clear sources of competitive advantage (and, incidentally, huge amounts of tax revenue)”.
